More Rite Aid Deals

I was able to stop by Rite Aid after work today. Thankfully they had plenty of Dove in stock and my deal worked out as planned. Here's what I got...

(1) Gain 19floz Softener - $2.99

(4) Dove Deodorant - on sale $2.00 + $2UPR when you buy two

(1) Colgate Toothpaste - on sale $3.50 + $3.50UPR

I used a $3off Gain coupon (adjusted to $2.99), three $2off Dove coupons, one $1.50off Dove coupon, and $4UPR from previous purchase....(there is also a $1off Colgate coupon available from last weeks paper which would make this deal even better, but I couldn't find mine today and decided to just go ahead without it)...

I paid $0.00, Nada, Nothin' out of pocket and my receipt printed out $7.50 in UPR!

I call that success!

Back to Bargain Hunting

Truth be told, I have been off couponing for a few weeks now. Well not entirely, I mean I still use coupons when it's convenient (like a few xmas gifts from Bed Bath & Beyond), but I haven't been on the hunt for crazy bargains or creating killer deal scenarios.  Seriously! We haven't even been food shopping since before Christmas and I'm pretty sure we're going on day 5 of being without milk or juice in the fridge. Scandalous!

I kind of took a break over the holidays (which did feel good) and I'm just now jumping back on the band wagon. Today I successfully completed a KILLER Rite Aid deal! Here's the breakdown:

This one required two transactions, something I'm usually opposed to because I just dont have the time, but I couldn't pass this one up.

Transaction #1

I bought:

4 boxes of Special K cereal - $4.79each, on sale BOGO Free

1 Blink Eye Drops - $7.99 with $7.99 SCR

2 Spic n Span scrub brushes - on clearance for $0.50each

2 Spic n Span 10ct packs of Latex gloves - on clearance for $0.50each

I used:

2 x BOGO free Special K manufacturers coupons

1 x $1/1 Blink eye Drops manufacturers coupon

2 x $1/2 any Spic n Span Products

$2 UPR from previous transaction

Total OOP cost: $5.59

Will get back $7.99 SCR from Blink Eye Drops + my receipt printed $4 UPR from the cereal

Transaction #2

I bought:

4 boxes of Special K cereal - $4.79each, on sale BOGO Free

4 boxes of Barilla Pasta - 4/$5, on sale buy 4 get $1 UPR

I used:

2 x BOGO free Special K manufacturers coupons

$4 UPR from transaction #1

Total OOP: $1.60

Receipt printed $9 UPR, $1 for each item (month long food/snack UPR)

TOTAL OOP cost for both transactions: $7.19

Getting back $7.99 in SCR

=

$0.80 Money Maker + $9 in UPR

Now I should note, I'm pretty sure there is no way that we will consume 8 boxes of Special K, nor do I have room to store that much cereal, so at least half of this will be getting donated to the local food pantry by the end of the month. I mean really, 8 boxes is way too much for only two mouths, don't you think?

Rite Aid Success

So although yesterday's trip to Rite Aid was a total loss, today as planned I hit up another Rite Aid on the other side of town and they were stocked!

Now I feel like I must explain, we needed none of these items except the toilet tissue. We were down to only two rolls left and buying all these other products allowed me to get 8 rolls of Cottonelle totally FREE! I will must likely hang onto the BodiHeat and Blink eye drops as they may prove useful, the rest will go to charity or friends.

So for the break down, here is how to transaction went:

2 x 4pack Cottonelle, $3.99 each
1 x Bee M.D. $2.49
1 x Simply Saline $3.99
1 x Cold Buster Warming Syrup $6.69
1 x Blink Eye Drops $7.99
1 x Theramax Cold & Flu Spray $6.99
1 x Bodi Heat 4ct $6.99

Subtotal: $39.12
I used $2 in UpRewards from last weeks purchase, a $5 off $25 purchase coupon from Rite Aid Video Values and a $4/1 coupon that I found on the Blink eye drops.

I paid $28.12 out of pocket.
I will get $31.14 back in RA Rebates....so bottom line we got our needed toilet tissue plus some and I made $3.00! A good deal as far as I'm concerned!

Total = $4.20, I used the remainder of my gift card from a previous SCR and paid only $0.65.
I will get back $10.46 in SCR, plus my receipt printed another $2 UPR from the Playtex!

So all in all tonight's trip totalled to a $15.81 Money Maker!

Rite Aid Trip

It has been a while since my last Rite Aid trip. I kind of fell off of the weekly deal hunting for the past few weeks with everything I've had going on lately. Along that note I also have a confession - I was neglecting my couponing so much that I even let $11 in Rite Aid UpRewards expire! *GASP* But I got back up, brushed it off and last night I jumped back on the wagon and got some good deals. Total OOP = $2.24 (which I paid with a gift card from a previous SCR)
Got back = $5.26 UpRewards

Grand Total = $3.02 MoneyMaker

Yesterday's Rite Aid Stop

Made a quick stop at Rite Aid after work...the deal I had planned didn't work out, so I had to turn to plan B, but all in all it still went well. I would advise that if you are going into a store to complete a specific deal senario, always be ready to turn to plan B. Like with my trip yesterday, you never know when the store might be out of a particular product, especially when it's on sale.

So my Plan B purchases consisted of the following:

2 bottles of Gain Dish Soap priced at $.89 each - used 2x $1/1 mfr coupons = 2 FREE

2 bottles Pepsi Max priced at $1.59 each - use 2x BOGO coupons (mfr & RA) = 2 FREE

1 Pantene Restoratives Shampoo on sale for $4 - used $2/1 mfr coupon = $2

1 Listerine Zero Mouthwash on sale at $3.99 - used $2/1 mfr. coupon & $1/1 RA coupon = $.99

Handed over my $3 in UPR

Total Cost = $0.00

Got back $1.99 SCR, $3 UPR

Turned into a $4.99 Money Maker!

I was planning on getting 2 Tide Stain Release 18ct as well and using 2 x $3 mfr coupons, plus a $5/$25 RA coupon, but the store was unfortunately (for me) out of the Stain Release bags. oh well, there will be other sales.

CVS Trip #2 this week

So here is how I put my $5 off a $15 purchase CVS coupon (which I scored yesterday) to good use...

I bought:
2 x Purex Complete 3-in-1 20ct. Laundry sheets @ $5.99each
1 x Crest Prohealth Toothpaste @ $3.49
1 x 20ct Excedrin Extra Strength Express Gels @ $5.69 (I know not a great price, but we were completely out of all headache curing medicine)
I used:
2 x $3/1 Purex 3-in-1 coupons
2 x $1/1 Crest Toothpaste coupons
1 x $1/1 Excedrin Extra Strength Express Gels coupon
my $5/$15 coupon and $5 ECB

I paid $3.28 out of pocket, which was really just for the Excedrin (may I also add that I paid for it out of my FSA account - i love tax free money). I got $4.50 back in ECB too!

Then I had a sudden realization that there was 2 per household limit on the Crest ECB so I rolled my extra bucks and used another $1/1 coupon to get another tube of Crest Prohealth toothpaste FREE!! and I still have $4.50 in ECB!

So to my relief, we are once again stocked up on laundry detergent and I still have an abundant amount of toothpaste in my bathroom closet lol!
